Hey guys so Cardiff Film and Comic Con is this weekend and im so excited to be selling there again with my good friend J M Redman! (Check her out here )
As I did for my last event I will doing a small promotion for this one too!

Child of light poster preview 

Child of Light Paper Cut

This piece is inspired by stain glass windows and based on the game by Ubisoft called Child of Light; witch is an amazing game. The art of this game is amazing and the story is so touching and so fairytale like I really enjoyed it and that is what enthused me to create this paper cut.

I will be doing a give away of 2 posters of this piece on Twitter. More information on that will be posted soon, so keep an eye out.
I will also be selling the first print of these posters at Cardiff Film and Comic con in November (8th-9th) so come by and say hello, with every purchase I will be giving out a free sticker.

This year I am also taking part in Inktober, where you produce a ink based illustration or doodle every day of October.
I am mostly posting the images on my twitter but will post my favourites on here and will also probably do a compilation zine of all the images I make.

So i'm usually bad with new forms of social media but one of my friends recently showed me Twitter and I thought id give it a go and I love it. I get to follow a lot of awesome artists and anything where I can do that makes me happy but I will be posting a lot on there all small updates and what im working on and progress through the day. Sneak peak at my upcoming comic

So I started creating and planing my comic while in university and now iv graduated I have more time to work on it. As I have the story down I began to redesign the main female characters, I love her to bits now and cant wait to make a cut of her and see how she looks finished but here is a sneak peak sketch of her.

As the comic will be wordless my characters expressions will have to say it all and in looking forward to really getting into the deep design stages. I chose my comic to be wordless because I love the movement of expression and gesture, I love story telling through pictures I never feel the need for words.
Most my information on my comic will be put only on here some sketches n image snippets will be on Facebook but most of it will be on here, so keep tuned and hopefully the day beau for this comic will be Cardiff film and comic con November.

Decorative cutting

So recently I have been trying a more decorative style to enhance my greeting card designs. This is a present I did for someone who recently got engaged, this is my first attempt at something like this and I think it works well and hopefully I will be able to design better and more appealing cuts.

Attending ICE Birmingham

So last minute Iv managed to get a table at the convention ICE in Birmingham, thanks to Jon Lock who sadly could not attend. But I will be there with a range of new and older work iv took to my other conventions, so come say hi and keep and ear out on my Facebook page for any promotions and deals I will be doing at the day con. Greeting cards

So after finishing university I have decided to branch out into other ways I can use my illustration. One things I have found interesting is greeting cards these can be fun and personal. So far this is what I have made.

Fathers Day Card
 I made this for my dad on fathers day he is a big nerd and loves playing on his gaming consoles. So I based the card off one of his favourite things at the moment the Xbox one, the colours and controller are from the Xbox. This was a lot of fun and made me consider my typography and how I would cut it. As my official first greetings card I am so happy with how it turned out and it made me want to create more.

Fiance's Birthday Card
 This card was so fun to do, on the front is me and my partner playing on a PS2. it has similar font to the other card as me and my partner are bother big gamers and I wanted to design something that was special to us. On this design I added a cut out name on the back as I was trying to make it more stylish and fit in. Hopefully this worked to other but I like it.

 More will be coming soon, but as a sneak peak into my next greeting card ventures ill just say weddings.

  So just this moment handed in my last ever university project sad but amazing because now I can concentrate on my own personal work and should be updating a lot more. But thought id share some of my work I have completed over this last year of university.

My new banner has come for me to use as conventions. Thought id share it with you guys so you know what to look out for. Also I will be attending Cardiff film and comic con in November so if your going to be there come say hi. I'm currently trying to sort a promotion out but more on that later.

Risograph limited edition prints

  I have recently learned how to use the university's risograph machine and have done a limited print run of an image I created inspired by the fairy tale 'Red rose and snow white'. I original hand cut the black out then added the red on to be put through the risograph. I will selling these prints at conventions and fairs. I have been rather busy at the moment with my final year of university and have a lot of updates to make once my deadlines have passed.
